As I was thinking about what to write first, the question, "Why do I love life coaching?" came to mind and it seemed like a very fitting place to start. The answer to this question came when I was watching a video where a woman said, "Do you desire to help people find their purpose in life and help them understand themselves in a greater way?" I immediately connected with the words. For many years before I became a Life Coach, I was doing this in all of my relationships without even thinking about it. For some reason, I am wired to see people's gifts and talents and call them out. I am compelled to analyze what's holding people back, and see how they could move forward, so when I heard the video, I knew Life Coaching would be a perfect fit. As I started my certification, I learned a model that's used to guide people through a thinking process. This would be the biggest adjustment, because in personal relationships I could give my opinion or advice freely, but within the coaching model I became more of a thinking partner. I started to realize that thinking along side of someone and asking them thought provoking questions where they come to conclusions themselves, was even more powerful than just giving an answer. As I started walking people through the coaching model, it was amazing to watch them unfold thoughts they never explored and have major breakthrough moments. I knew I would love life coaching, but it has been so rewarding to watch people find more clarity and purpose in their lives. That is why I love life coaching.
